Getting Started
How do I reply, should my investors seem apprehensive regarding my outsourcing my company’s software development?
This does sometimes happen and if it does happen to you, there are a number of replies that you can give them. A few good ones are listed below:
- Your central competency, which you excel at, is not software development.
- It is probably substantially more cost effective to outsource than to have your own developers to build your product.
- You need time to focus on growing and developing your product and won’t have time to manage people.
- You can use the money that your developers save on equity for future growth
- Nexibeo has optimized communication & reporting tools and reimagined outsourcing.
- Nexibeo is going to do a great job with your product. They have a fantastic track record.
- You want to get a head start on the prototype before you hire your own developers.
- You are using the prototype in order to draw in potential developers by means of your start up.
- You want to do a cost effective validation of a concept before making a larger investment.
How will I manage my team?
You won’t. With our resourceful Product Manager at the helm, Nexibeo will provide your team and ensure delivery of perfection every time. We will also take care of your project management.
When will my project start?
As soon as you have paid your initial invoice, your Product Manager will schedule a kick-off call. By the time you receive this call, your PM will already have a team ready to begin working on your project right away.
Talent / Team members
Is Nexibeo just a matchmaking service?
Nexibeo won’t match you directly with team members. We build the best possible team, which may even change since someone may get sick for example, and YOU manage that team via a product manager. It is our aim to supply significantly more worth than what a matchmaking service would do.
May I know which team members will work with my project?
Because we only match team members with the project when it starts, we are not able to in advance. Because we want to set up the best possible team for your project, the match can be an intricate process. Showing them a number of NDA-protected projects they may not even be working on wouldn’t be fair on them, so we prefer to perform a match only after the deposit on the project has been paid.
Can I connect directly with my team members?
Our team members prefer to stay anonymous, and will therefore not work directly with clients. Subsequently, our team members work with Nexibeo instead of a team member marketplace. It is our experience that providing a product manager between the client and the team (which consists of a tech architect, designer, and numerous developers) provides a smoother process.
How good are your team members?
We stop at nothing in order to locate and hire the finest team members globally. We have designed Nexibeo from the perspective of Talent-first. We are convinced that allowing people to do what they are best at doing, results in them delivering the finest quality work. We are set on delivering the best, therefore we hire the best team members. Many of them are/were also start up founders. Read more about our talent. Learn more about our team members on our Talent page.
Cost
I cannot afford this at the moment. Can we partner for equity?
Unfortunately, we do not offer this solution yet but you’re free to contact us with a proposal.
How fast can you complete my project?
That depends on your project. In most cases where standard apps are required, we can do it in 2-6 months, but it mostly depends on the type of project and the complexity thereof. See our pricing page for more details.
What hourly rate do your team members charge?
We work with hourly rates only if it involves maintenance work. We set up the best possible team and prefer to pay a fixed- or monthly fee. Note that our project rates are very reasonable. See our pricing page for more details and Get a quote right away.
This is too expensive for me. Are you really worth the cost?
Some developer marketplaces offer less expensive rates because they use less experienced expertise. Experience has shown that often these cheaper projects don’t do so well. Sadly, you do get what you pay for.
Is your pricing real? How can you do it this so cheap?
We are not an agency or a development shop, so we have significantly fewer overhead. Nexibeo has (and will always have) a longer term vision. Our main focus is growth & customer satisfaction. It is better for us to get a great referral than to take a huge sum of money.
Design
Can you integrate my design?
Provided that it is a design that is actually possible to build, we will be happy to assist with integrating work done by any other designer. PSD or SKETCH format designs can be integrated free of charge, but designs in a flat format may be charged for.
What do you offer in terms of design work?
It is possible to integrate existing designs or to build you a complete new design at any level of progress.
Process
What happens at the end of my project?
After finishing your project, we will run a final pass in order to ensure that all aspects are polished and of excellent quality. Your Project Manager will then send you your completed deliverable file, whether it contains designs or a zip file with your project’s code. Note that we can also help with optimized web hosting or publishing your App/platform.
Remember that a completed project does not mean that you shouldn’t contact us again. We would encourage you to extend a request to us as you scale your project, should you need us to develop an extra feature for your project.
How often will I get updates?
For you to ensure that the project is on track, Your Project Manager will schedule a weekly call, and will send email updates at least twice a week. These are called milestones. Your PM will also email you work to examine at the end of each milestone. It is important that you review milestones immediately in order to ensure that your project stays on schedule.
How is work divided up throughout the course of my project?
We set milestones or check-in points that should be reached roughly every second week. These milestones enable you to give you a chance to assess the progress to date, update your team and confirm the position on forthcoming work.
How do you assemble my team?
We get to work on your team assembly the moment your project begins, by finding the correct project manager. When we find a Project Manager they will assemble the best possible team of developers and designers for your project.
Maintenance
What is a revision?
When you find that a certain part of your product would be better when changed, we will revise it if it was part of the initial scope of the project. Note that revisions need to be limited in order to aid timely delivery. When such a change was not part of the initial scope, NexiBeo may charge additionally to deliver it.
Examples of revisions:
- Adding new filter criteria to an item list
- Additional storage of user data for users who log in via Facebook
- Changing the profile page layout
What is a bug?
Any functionality in a product that works contrary to how it is specified in your project proposal is a bug. Nexibeo has committed itself to build a product of extremely high quality. Part of that means making sure that there are as few bugs as possible.
After completion of the project you will have two weeks to test your product and request your family and friends to test it too. In case of bugs presenting themselves, we will fix it. Remember that we will always be available after delivery and that we will be happy to partner together with you after the launch of the product.
Although revisions are not bugs, they can be dealt with via Nexibeo’s revision process.
Examples of bugs:
- Information gets lost that is supposed to be saved on your server.
- A part of your product is only available to some users, while it should be available all your users.
- A page lags when you scroll it, or it interacts with elements on the page
- An iPhone 6 displays a screen in an app properly but an iPhone 5 does not display the same screen properly.
Examples of changes that do not qualify as bugs:
- Profile pictures can be added to user profiles when the initial specifications did not include pictures
- The layout of the home screen changes
- Simplifying a photo posting flow after feedback from a user.
What are the chances that you will go out of business while working on my project?
Nil! Nexibeo has enough funds for years to come and our business has been running very healthy for years.
Will you charge huge amounts, should I need any additional work?
No. Additions are priced as “mini projects” which tend to be relatively affordable, since we are familiar with the source base.
Case Studies
I love what you’re doing and would like to be featured on your Case Studies page. Is that possible?
Sure it is! Please send us a message so that we can determine how to write the best possible case study for your project with Nexibeo.
Who are some of your clients?
Nexibeo works with clients from all levels of business from single-person start-ups to Fortune 2000 companies, and we have worked with a wide range of industries, such as healthcare, ecommerce, and advertising. See our Case Studies section for some of the projects that we have built for clients.
Confidentiality
Can Nexibeo sign our NDA instead of us signing Nexibeo’s NDA?
We work with too many different clients to let each one draw up their own NDA. Legally and compliance related the cost would be too high. But you can be certain that our MNDA is standard and fair to all parties. Our team members sign a very strict NDA with Nexibeo to ensure your confidentiality.
How can I be sure of confidentiality?
We do not show your project’s details to anyone but the developers that work on the project. They have a strict NDA with us, and every precaution is taken to keep our systems confidential.
